Get a Programmable Thermostat…and USE it.

Programmable thermostats save energy costs primarily in this way: when you are regularly away from home for periods of time each day (ex – M-F work schedule), you would use the programmable thermostat to reduce the indoor temperature in cool weather and increase in warmer weather. Then, you would program the system to bring your home back to desired levels right before you arrive home from work. Since no one’s at home while you’re at work, you don’t need to keep the air at comfortable levels, because there’s no one there to keep comfy! Here’s the thing to remember: many people buy a programmable thermostat and then never get around to programming them – hence, no savings…so if you buy it, use it! Let us know if you need help picking one out and installing it: service@Get3DMech.com.
